Hi, our names are Kay and Arya, and we are two high school students who absolutely adore reading and we one day hope to become like the authors we admire so much. Maybe we'll each get blogs dedicated completely to us one day... hints anybody? xD Eh, it's nice to dream. We're both also big lovers of food! (Arya: I love food, but I've never actually tried that many types, and I keep surprising Kay by the multitudes of ethnic foods I've had yet to tried. I'm sure she's going to drag me to try some more another time... x'D).
Arya: I'd introduce myself, but I think you've heard me say my own name enough times. Anyways, I am a huge book fanatic, with a love for supernatural fiction, particularly those with butt-kicking heroines and drop-dead gorgeous guys who can kill you with just a flick of his wrist. Those are the books I love. A genre that Kay has sadly grown out of, a passing that I still mourn.(Kay: Erm, not true, just got a bit tired of all the similar story lines and the obsessions over VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES!) My favourite books include Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, the Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, Strange Angels by Lili. St Crow and the Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. And that's only the top five out of a list of MANY. I also love manga and anime, Inuyasha in particular. Inuyasha was my first book/manga/anime boyfriend xD. (Kay: ME TOO! FIRST MANGA... not book bf... that would be... my secret!) It's my dream to visit England, Italy and Japan one day and get lost in all the famous architecture, just feeling the history around me. I love Japanese and Korean music, and my love for martial arts rivals my love for books and all things literature. One day, I hope to be an international best-selling author and teach martial arts in my free time. Whew, done my spew! Kay: Hiya! Whenever people ask me what my favorite hobby is, I always say: reading. I've been reading my whole life, it's not something I've discovered when my teacher shoved a book into my face. Even before I can remember I've always been going to the library and borrowing books, I borrowed so many I actually reached the card limit to borrow one time, and the card limit for our city was 50. However, I never got an overdue or a fine, at least that I remember! I currently have three library cards for three different cities, and am still going to the library once a week (sadly). Summer is my favourite season, due to school being out, I pretty much have all the time in the world to read, shop and catch up with all my friends. But mostly cuz I can stay up all night to read. I read practically anything! (I don't really like non-fiction) But currently my favorite type of books to read is dystopia, chicklits, romance, historical fiction, life, and um.. well I don't know, I like to read anything that sounds and looks interesting. Books don't take up my whole life! I also love to listen to i music such as indie&soft pop, as well as rock music. I like to write too, but I never get around to it much (if you wanna read stuff we wrote, check our reviews... and nag Arya to publish her stories, they are amazing!)(Arya: Aw, thank you! Much love xD). I also have this really bad habit of going somewhere with no mindset of of shopping, but coming home with something. I love shopping, almost as much as I love reading! I also really like to paint and draw, not that I'm really good, but more as something to express myself when I can't do it with words. My dream would be to travel the world, (especially to Europe and South America) and someday open a bookstore/cafe somewhere, maybe I may get there. Also I read a lot, but it doesn't mean I'll be writing a review for every book I read, especially if it is super popular. I'll only write a review about a book that I deemed amazing or I think more people should know about it. Also I'll be writing a review if I think that the book could have much more potential or it disappointed me greatly. Lastly I would definitely write a review if you send us an ARC or if you want my take on a certain book!
