What's Left of Me by Amanda Maxlyn

18480026
There are times I already feel trapped in this life I live by not being able to do the things I want, and now I’m being forced to pick up my life and move to a brand new city, locked away from society and my friends.  I want what’s best for my health, but it feels as if no one seems to care about the things that matter the most to me, despite how many times I try to tell them.
Cancer.
It can break you.  Or it can make you stronger.  I choose stronger.
I choose survival.

Aundrea is a survivor, cancer a word that gives everyone a sick feeling in their stomach when they hear it is how Aundrea have been living for the past 5 years. Diagnosed at 17 she learned to cope and survive through the treatments she had to endure. After moving to a new city to undergo another treatment she was ready to simply survive another day... what she wasn't expecting was Parker.

Parker is one of the best book boyfriends you can ever have. He is sweet, caring and unbelievably loyal. The epilogue had tears streaming down my face...
I think that this book was able to capture some of the experiences that people have to go through. It was Maxlyn's first novel and as much as I love that it was a standalone (for now) I really hope for a sequel! IT was detailed and oh so moving. I think Maxlyn really captured the main aspects in a real life relationship... and even though it was mainly Aundrea's POV you can also see the struggles that Parker is trying to go through. I also find myself riding along the same emotional roller coasters the characters are going through. They are relatable and the supporting characters are really developed. I had expected a different book, one that is all fairytales and only the good parts of a struggling cancer victim with a HEA... however Maxlyn was really able to show many aspects of it!

AAH please let there be a sequel!! preferably in Parker's POV!!!
